Test scenarios introduction

  • Scenarios M-Plane

Transport and Handshake
in IPv4 Environment (positive case)

This test validates that the O-RU properly executes the session establishment procedure with VLANs
and a DHCPv4 server. This test is applicable to IPv4 environments.

Subscription to Notifications

This test validates that the O-RU properly handles a NETCONF subscription to notifications.

Retrieval without Filter Applied

This test validates that the O-RU NETCONF Server executes a general get command.

Testing Results/Summary

In the tests, Fujitsu O-RU connects to the Keysight O-DU emulator in LLS-C1 mode via 25GE SFP28 fiber. For the M-Plane test, Fujitsu O-RU works as a Netconf server, and TIM M-Plane client works as a Netconf client. Fujitsu O-RU is assigned a dynamic IP address via the DHCP protocol.

Based on the pcap file of the O-RU in the fronthaul and the logs of Fujitsu O-RU, all 3 test cases meet the required O-RAN specifications.

Benefits for the Industry

  • 25Gbps fronthaul fiber physical (SFP28) connection integrated with the case of O-RAN fronthaul 7-2x split (CAT A)
  • Isolated signal-vendor O-RU solution integrated with the Keysight emulators
  • The NETCONF solution validated with the Fujitsu O-RU and TIM M-Plane client
